I was given a pre diagnosis/ beginning stages diagnosis. They'll be keeping an eye on the foci.
Anyways, I am looking at using diet to treat it until my next appointment.  I don't know which would be best. The Wahls, OMS Diet or if there is another diet? I am a type 2 diabetic. I control it with diet . I'm not perfect , but my doc is impressed with my numbers. I also have some food allergies. So I am pretty used to following a diet for health .
    Any suggestions for diet ?

    Hello DR2018,

You may want to view our Wellness Discussion Guide for People with MS and their Healthcare Providers. It has a lot of information about diet starting on page 6.

You might try checking out the Mediterranean Diet. It focuses on lots of veggies and fruit, low on the carbs, heavy duty on the omega-3 (olive oil, lots of fish, etc.) and low also on the red meats.  It would probably help keep your glucose numbers in check as well.  Mind you, there is no recommended diet to follow with treating MS, but this one seems to be the most well-rounded and the omega-3's could help with symptoms for the MS.
I'm no doctor, so get your healthcare professional's advice on what may be best for your circumstances.  Good luck.

I did Wahls for a bit, I dont follow it strictly anymore though. I have studied up on how some food affect your body and how it can affect MS. I have found avoiding dairy, nightshades, and processed foods help me the best. Nightshades such as tomatoes, peppers, eggplant. cause inflammation. I notice I get increased dizziness and pain when I eat these foods. I still will eat them now and then but usually regret it soon after. Dairy and processed foods can have effects on your Candida, which has growing research to be connected with MS. There are also random foods here and there I have found is best i avoid. I can usually feel how it is affecting me quickly. Play around and see which ones help you the most.
