I just read an interesting article. Click for SPMS article
. I was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis in late July of this year after a brain MRI came back showing lots of MS lesions and a spinal tap came back positive for high amounts of elevated protein 'o' bands. I am unsure if I have RRMS or SPMS, and this article claims that most who have RRMS will have it turn into SPMS at some point. The article sounds correct to me but I was just curious if others on here agree with this?
The DMD Disease Modifying Drugs are used to slow the progression of ms, along with changes in thinking, lifestyle and diet. I have been living with ms for more than 50 yrs and am only in the past three years progressed to secondary progressive. If you pay attention to yourself and how you and your body and spirit reacts to the universe and what it shares with us you can delay or slow the progression. Fortunately, you all are now living in the age of the internet with info at your fingertips and alternative medications.
When i had my first exacerbation they put me on steroids and never told me what was going on and i was too ill to ask, then there was no DMD available. So if you are kind to yourself you can live a long better life because of all the resources available. As it says, 'Knowledge is Power." You have the power to live better, make a promise to yourself to do just that.
