Does anyone know of a site or resource for travelers with disabilities?  My best friend's husband also has MS.  He uses a cane most of the time and has recently had a horrible experience at a resort while travelling.  I think it would be beneficial to have some sort of resource for people like us to help us navigate / find resorts and hotels that are accommodating to disabled travels and also help us steer clear of others that don't even provide a small level of human decency.

She has provided a very fair and honest review of the resort on TripAdvisor but I'm wondering if others would be interested in or have found something more useful than the typical review sites?

In a nutshell, they were given a room on the 5th floor and assured the resort was handicap accessible.  This was not the case.  The elevator broke two times during their brief stay (for a half day each time) and the stair case was not fitted with hand rails.  My friend missed a few meals because he couldn't get downstairs and even after informing numerous staff of the issues they were having, nothing was done (no food was brought to the room, they weren't informed once the elevator was fixed, etc.).

That is some kind of experience.  I have to use a cane to get around and would not want to experience and go through what you described.
