Peer Support Profiles

I am in my 60’s and living with MS.  I still work every day as a contractor, have been married for 39 years and am the grandfather of 4.  I enjoy stained glass work and creating new ideas for two small businesses.  Looking to make my second million, I gave up on the first million!

Living with MS since 1990 (Diagnosed in 1995) I have "grown up" with the disease.  After 20 years with relatively minor effects from MS I am healthy and happy.  If you have just been diagnosed contact me.  I am a good example of the better side of MS.  I have experience with multiple MS medications, and symptom treatments.  This can be a scary diagnosis and I would be happy to speak with you. I am available by telephone or email.

I am married with two grown children and have been living with MS for fifteen years.  MS was a part of my life prior to my diagnosis, as my mother and a distant relative lived with MS before that.  Since my diagnosis, a brother and my daughter have also been diagnosed.  I am available by email only.
It feels like I’ve had a lot of challenges my entire adult life. I’ve had a few “careers”; from business to law to education.  I’ve also had the good fortune to live in a variety of places; from New York City to Philadelphia to Boston to Franconia, NH.  But there’s always been one constant: Physical activity…and when I was diagnosed in 1999 I accepted this “additional challenge.”  As my symptoms have remained mostly sensory...
Married with two married sons and enjoying two recent grandchildren. Living with a diagnosis of Relapsing Remitting MS since Jan 2002. In full time employment managing several major accounts for a computer company. A subject of Her Majesty the Queen living in the USA since 1987.  I am available by telephone or email.
Married 28 years, my husband was diagnosed with MS 16 years ago.  The challenges of being a committed spouse, positive role model for my daughters and working as a full-time professional can be daunting! Born and raised in Wisconsin, I've resided in Colorado for 30 years. Swimming and hiking sweeten my free time. My family is in-between cats, and we look forward to meeting our next feline. Sewing, humor and singing with friends bouys my soul, and I bake a mean batch of chocolate chip...
My name is Kevin and I have been living with MS for 22 years. I have been married for 41 wonderful years. We have two children and two grandchildren. I served in the Air Force and retired from the Air National Guard after 28 years as an aircraft technician. I am married, mother of two daughters, and grandmother of four grandsons.  I was diagnosed with MS in 1994 and am now considered SPMS.  I worked for 28 years in the computer/insurance industry.  Now retired, I enjoy sewing/quilting, reading and spending time with family, especially with my grandchildren.   I deal with the daily challenges of MS that include mobility, balance, bladder and bowel dysfunction, pain and mild depression.  I also have sleep apnea which...

I have been living with my wife since 1972 and we have both been living with MS since 1985. I am “semi-retired” from academics and continue to do consulting as a patient representative for several healthcare organizations and volunteer for the MS Society and our local mass transit system. We love to travel (US & International) and enjoy the entertainment options in our area (food, music, drama, art, and sports.) I am available by email only.

I was diagnosed in 1988 and retired on disability in 2001.  My background includes teacher education and executive management in hardware and software companies.  I’ve been a volunteer Peer Counselor for NMSS since 2003, and am also a member of the Northern California Chapter Government Advocacy Committee.  I live in Berkeley with my wife Anne, our pound mutts George and Gracie, and a 55 gallon reef aquarium. I am...
