Note

For computer users who have difficulty with keyboard combinations involving a modifier key (CTRL, ALT, SHIFT) or the Windows Logo.

StickyKeys allows for the keys to be pressed individually rather than simultaneously.

To activate:
Press the SHIFT key 5 times.

To deactivate:
Press two modifier keys (CTRL, ALT, SHIFT) simultaneously or press the Windows Logo key simultaneously with any another key.

A tone will be heard when the feature is activated.

Pressing a modifier key twice will lock the feature on. (For Example, pressing the SHIFT key twice is similar to the Caps Lock being on.)

 


FilterKeys (XP and Vista)

For computer users who inadvertently tap keys or repeat keystrokes.

FilterKeys can slow down the repeat rate when a key is held down and can ignore brief key stokes.

To activate:
Hold down the right SHIFT for eight seconds.

To deactivate:
Hold down the right SHIFT for eight seconds, when the feature is active.

A tone is heard when a key is pressed and a second tone is heard when a keystroke has been accepted.

 


ToggleKeys (XP and Vista)

For computer users who are visually impaired or have a cognitive disability.

ToggleKeys provides sound cues when the locking keys (Cap Lock, Num Lock, or Scroll Lock) are used.

To activate:
Hold down the Num Lock for 5 seconds.

To deactivate:
Hold down the Num Lock for 5 seconds when the feature is active.

Audible high and low tones

A high tone indicates that the locking key is active.

A low tone indicates that the locking key is not active.
