    I'm new here and hoping to be recommended some natural treatments to pair with my prescription. Any recommendations? I'm curious about yoga, massage, acupuncture etc.. I'm very stiff all day and have back/neck pain

    I don't know anything about acupuncture, but I found bee venom therapy (BVT) to be trivial for giving an energy boost; I got far better results from diet and other methods. BVT did teach me to love and appreciate honeybees, so it wasn't all bad. :)

    Those I am familiar with. Both worked in different ways. Massages have been prescribed for me by 2 doctors in 2 different states, so I'd guess (I never bothered to research it) there is some science to back that up. My stiff calves and feet (poor circulation from the muscles atrophying and not walking enough) definitely feel better after a massage.

    Yoga can be hit and miss I've found. Some yoga teachers take an almost militarisitic mindset towards it; it sounds absurd but it's true. Tai chi can be also useful. But I've replaced both with stretching that I do myself.

    And FWIW, there are MS-specific exercises you can do at home and also MS-specific physical therapy.

    I know it's hard to do -- I've had MS for about as long as you've been alive :) -- considering the lack of energy, debilitating aspects of MS and waves of depression that many get, but exercise and getting up and doing things is critical. It's a key part of this doctor's critical 4 for 4 things you should do to battle MS.

    Hello! I agree with the exercise. It’s almost a must. The ms society has a dvd with exercises. Has all different levels, from standing, to sitting in chair and if you’re in a wheelchair. The dvd is from a doctor and PT. It’s really good.

    I find physical therapy, basic  yoga and diet help a lot. I follow the Wahls protocol and believe it has to be that extreme, but both sugar and grains trigger flare ups for me.

    I have had good luck with cannabis both topically and vaped. Excercise and stretching also help me a great deal with my daily discomfort. Best advise I can give is to try it all till you find something that helps. That is where I am at, look at the options and basically trial and error I find is the way to go. This disease is so broad what works for one may not work for another.

    I am bound to agree much more than not with ErinNicole regarding the diet. I have been on the Wahl’s protocol for a bit, and I believe that it does help. At the least, taking gluten (grains) and sugar out of your life seems to cause a descent calming of some flare ups and such. Learned to drink coffee black, and it actually tastes so much better... Also, even though I have yet to get good at this, meditation seems to do pretty well. It does not help physically, but it is always nice to be able to control the turmoil in your/my head, even just a bit. Tai-chi I have also just started attempting, but it does seem to be a promising way to force some regaining of lost balance, coordination, and control of your body. Exercise, I believe, is also exceptionally important. Just what matches your abilities, I cannot even venture to guess.
