I have had RRMS for almost 3 years (only diagnosed this year). I have been having pains in both knees for about 3-4 months now. I've always had pain that would come and go in both my hips and knees but this knee pain is constant now. I am unsure if it's MS related. Everything I've read online says that it can be a side effect of leg spasticity but not directly from MS. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure if I've had leg spasticity before. I read that spasticity can be in the form of a stiffening/tightening of the muscle which I was told by my massage therapist that I do have. So how do I know if it's MS related or something else? Thanks! :)

It can be so difficult to tell someone is having pain as a symptom of MS or if it's something else.  I encourage you to reach out to your doctor - maybe he or she can explore whether there might be other causes for your pain and give suggestions for pain management.  This link to our website has more information about the types of pain that can occur with MS: http://www.nationalmssociety.org/Symptoms-Diagnosis/MS-Symptoms/Pain
I hope you're feeling better very soon!
