So I live in Florida and it is starting to get very hot outside! Im sure most of you have heard about Topgolf but I’m a server there and working outside in 95 degree weather has been extremely tough on my body. I’ve posted about this before but I was wondering if there were any special tricks anyone uses to stay cool in the summer time! I love my job and I really don’t want to have to quit but being outside for long hours in the heat is really hard on my legs so if anyone has any advice please let me know! :)

I got a cooling vest, I work in a hospital that is primarily kept warm and running around for 8-16 hours gets to me. I went to MSAA and with proof of diagnosis they send you a free vest, it comes with ankle and wrist cooling and a neck tie. They have four options and i got the discreet one. you can see it a litle through clothes but not much. i would definitely order one it helps so much!

A neuro said that drinking a bottle of cool water will cool the brain in about twenty minutes, so keep drinking cool water while you  are at work. Can you keep your head covered? A hat with a wide brim will keep the eyes protected.  Even one ofthose visors like the golfers wear will help keep the eyes cool, sunglasses probably may not be permitted. You may be able to start a trend for all employees to wear different hats or swap hats as part of an attraction. If everyone knows you have ms you may get enough of a team together to set a standard for all employees to stay healthy. Raid your mom's closet to see what 'ancient' headwear she may have to amuse your guests or patrons.

If you have a special outfit you must where then maybe a t shirt and another one made with a bunch of pockets so it's not too bulky to where for ice packs get the jell ones they last longer and maybe a few bandanas so not to get your work shirt to wet or you can try a fishing vest  witch is pretty much the same result plenty of pockets and try to stand under the fan as often as possible for me I think the cold affects my MS more at times
