Going ok with pain not as intense and now my pain is out the roof. Pain back of head, neck, center of spine, shoulders, chest, arms and hands and breaking sweats. Has anyone gone through this and how did you deal with it and what did you do?
I haven't experienced pain to that extent. I hope you feel better!
I don't have thsi constant, but I do get searing pain in my head, neck, back, hips, and arms. When this happens, if I can, just resting on the couch after taking two tylenol muscle and body tablets tends to reduce the pain a little. It never goes away completely with tablets, but it does help for me.
Also, even though heat is no longer our friend really, sometimes a warm wheat bag (sometimes called a Magic Bag) does wonders in certain areas to relax things.
I hope this helps a little bit, and if not, that you find something that does!
Sorry to hear about your exacerbation. When were you d/x?
I'm now in my 3rd week of this relapse and taking acthar (IM injection) and methyprednisolone (rx).
I was d/x in '92 and have been in the hospital countless times. IV solumedral is absolutley the best. After 10 days I feel like a new person.
However, I have no veins left - no one can start an IV on me or keep the IV going because my veins roll, collapse, spit out the IV - it's just a mess. Plus I pass out - even laying down I can pass-out (so I'm always sure to have smelling salts w/me).
I haven't had an exacerbation in quite a few months now. I'm thinking my copaxone is really, really helping me.
But PAIN. I can't believe the pain that comes along with this disease.
Hope your feeling better soon
