I'm new to the site. I'm a caregiver dealing with my wife who has MS. She's had it since 1999 but in 20008 had a major exacerbation which we're still dealing with.

She is slowly getting worse. This is due to a variety of reasons. (Her own health, doctor's mistaken advice, etc.) She is now in a wheelchair, but is working very hard to rebuild her strength. She currently spends a good art of the day on forums, looking up new meds, reading and communicating with people about the disease.
I’m just looking for a forum for caregiver support because it seems that people are always asking about her but the caregiver is the forgotten person in the equation.

Hi Larryw1, I'm glad you found this site. has a group specific for carepartners.  You can join this group by going to the top banner and selecting the green icon for "Groups" you can then scroll down or do a search for caregiver/carepartner to find more information on this group and join.
In addition to this, we do have other information and support for caregivers.  This is a link to our Carepartners section of our website:

We also have a resource guide specific for caregivers that can be found here:

In addition, we have a packet of information geared directly to caregivers, if you would like to receive this in the mail, you can email your request to

I hope this information helps and you are able to find the support you need.

    Hi larrw1,

I am glad you found our community and reached out. In addition to what MS_Navigator_Ashley posted, I wanted to let you know that we have a great CarePartner Support Group within this community. You can find it here: The group administrators are Society trained peer support volunteers, if you haven't joined yet, I encourage you to join.

I also encourage you to use the Discussion forum as well. You will find many of our members are supportive and will be happy to share their stories with you or help you come up with an idea that may help.

If you should need further assistance please feel free to reach out to our MS Navigators for assistance. You can call them at 1-800-344-4867 or email them at

    Hope this helps,
