I was diagnosed with Relapse Remitting MS in 2009, and I have been dealing with breathing issues where I feel like I can't control my respirations sometimes, mostly if I get overheated. Stomach muscles become weak.  I have been seeing a Pulmonary doctor who says nothing can be done about it and to just do breathing exercises to keep my stomach muscles strong.  I was wondering is anyone else dealing with the same thing  and what they done. Thanks for any advice

    Hello bhappi4,

Some people with MS do have issues with breathing. We have some information on our website that may be helpful - here is the link.

Yes I have had the same issues for years. I actually quit breathing in my sleep actually even. I do use oxygen at night and sometimes my cpap. I should be using it all the time but find it difficult. For some reason my oxygen will drop down when laying down but if I'm upright it will be fine. I have been under a lot of stress for years otherwise I might succeed in quiting smoking. I lasted about 8 weeks last time but things got to me finally.
