I discovered I had MS 10 years ago. I was taking my daily walk when I started feeling jolt like experiences in my chest. Thinking it may be a heart attack, I checked myself into the hospital. Catscans revealed that my brain had an abnormal level of atrophy. The neurologist on call recommended an MRI which confirmed 3 lesions on my brain and two on my spine. While the news was shocking, I realized how lucky I am that my effects are not noticeable. I now use the disease as an inspiration to continue to stay fit. I walk 5 miles a day, golf as much as I can, and enjoy bowling, word and card games.
