My first symptoms were balance issues when I would change direction suddenly. At first I thought that I had vertigo. The Primary Care Physician that I was seeing sent me to a cardiologist. I felt like I was wasting my time, so I saw a different doctor and he referred me to a neurologist. She suggested that I have an MRI. After the MRI, the neurologist said that the results could indicate a few diseases and the only way to confirm that it was MS was to have a spinal tap.
One year later, I had the spinal tap which confirmed that I had MS. That was April 15, 2010.
