When I was 18 and in college out-of-state, I had what I was told was a migraine. I had numbness on the left side of my body and the worst headache of my life. Until December 2015, I had only been diagnosed with migraines. My husband and I got married in May 2014 and got pregnant shortly after that. My pregnancy went as smoothly as one can hope for, but after my son was born, I started to experience extreme fatigue. I chalked it up to the fact that I was a new mom and had not been sleeping well, but when he was 7 months old, I started with a terrible headache and blurred vision in my left eye. After about 2 months of these symptoms, I started seeing my neurologist and was diagnosed with MS. As hard as it was to get that diagnosis, I was glad to finally have answers! I have been on Copaxone for about a month now and am doing well. I feel that knowledge is power, so I'm trying to learn as much as I can about MS. My goal is to live my life to the fullest and be the best mom that I can be!
