My name is Callie Ravan, this is my story.
I am 22 years old I have a beautiful 3 year old daughter named Amilya Grace and I am living with the symptoms of MS.
I had a bad fall a little over a year ago on march 21st 2014. I worked for 6 months after the fall on a damaged back until they finally sent me to a doctor in September of 2014. within a week of seeing of me the doctor pulled me out of work. I have been out of work on medical leave ever since.
I never had any symptoms of multiple sclerosis before the fall at work there no one seems to think that the two things could be connected.
I am now dealing with a work related injury and the possibility of having MS. I have yet to be officially diagnosed but all of the symptoms that I have that are not related to my fall at work have all added up to make the doctors believe that I have MS, and I am scared shitless.
I stay strong in front of everyone as long as I possibly can but the things that I deal with on a daily basis scare me more than I can put into words. Some of my symptoms went away for a little while and some were just lessened for a while but now they are back in full force.
my biggest challenges as of now (june 23rd 2015) that are related to MS are :
-legs going numb, tingling, sharp pain, pins and needles.
-left arm going numb, dull pain, sharp shooting pain, hard to use left hand.
-major mood swings.
-left eye blurs over more than my right but now they both do. Looks like a film over my eye. Left eye sore a good deal of the time.
-problem with bowels
-trouble with balance
- slurred speech/tongue tied
-hard to sing, talk, swallow. Sometimes my throat feels like it is almost closed up.
-major major migraines
