My Story 1 Appreciate this

I had had a numbness in one arm about 10 years prior to 1993 which went away within a week of onset. I then birthed 2 children, suffered a fall on a ladder & heavy exposure to home improvement substances like varnish, paint and TSP. After which I began to have marital issues & subsequent divorce. MS started affecting my life in 1993 when I started experiencing tremors in my hands, my gait grew uncoordinated & I just could not stay awake if I sat still for even a moment. My diagnosis occurred simultaneously with the lottery of Betaseron. I decided at that time I was not going to use the drug therapies of the time because they were so new and unproven. I used chiropractic care & various nutritional & dietary strategies to maintain my health as much as I could. I knew that I was not created with a deficiency in any of these drug therapies so how could they repair my malfunctioning CNS. About 7 years later I decided to try Avonex. It seemed to be the most workable therapy for my particular case given that there was no drug developed for PPMS. My experience was anything but favorable. The "so-called" minor flu-like symptoms kept me in bed for 2 days after each shot & I saw my symptoms of tremors, 2 ton heavy legs & fatigue deteriorate. I stuck with it for a year until my medical benefits costs changed to where it was unquestionably outside of my budget. I am fortunate in that I do not suffer pain or exacerbation per se & for the most part I am maintaining my ground with my diet & supplement regime. I still drive, work Part Time and manage personal care except for cooking & feeding myself which hasn't changed in the past 8-10 yrs. I find that the fatigue & sleepiness increase dramatically & noticeably when I eat poorly, or consume Aspartame unknowingly. My biggest challenges are not being able to use a cell/mobile phone, preparing and eating food for myself - thankfully the best foods for healthy eating are naturally fast-foods like fruits, veggies & nuts/seeds. updated 5/19/14 I'm now seeing some surprising & interesting improvements using CBD rich hemp oil!
