When I was diagnosed w/MS in 1970, eight months after the birth of my son, and all symptoms went away, my husband said, "You don't have MS; you had a nervous breakdown. That worked for me. Then I had another "nervous breakdown," and again symptoms disappeared. I had a second child, and when she wad one and one half, I had another nervous breakdown, and not all the symptoms went away. There was an elephant in the room, and we didn't talk about it; we didn't talk about much of anything.
